Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for your appointment so we can get you settled in and your therapists have time to assess you. Our 60 minute massages are 50 minutes hands on and our 90 min massages 80 minutes hands on in order to allow you to have some time to relax in the room after your massage.
Ashiatsu …Oriental Bar Therapy®
"Ashi" means foot and "Atsu" means pressure, is an ancient form of bodywork brought to us by Buddhist monks. Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, sometimes referred to as barefoot Shiatsu, is NOT performed on the floor mat through clothing. Ashiatsu is a safe technique allowing the therapist to gradually apply deep pressure to chronically shortened muscles. This in turn increases the spinal muscle flexibility, breaking the cycle and restoring the range of motion. Because of the therapist’s precise footwork and knowledge of balanced pressure, they pose no threat to the spinal column or surrounding soft tissue.
