Tips & FAQ
What is Self Tanning and how does it work ...Self tanning solution is not a topical paint job of your skin; even if it looks as such in the beginning. The actual solution absorbs into the very outer layer of your skin. It reacts with the protein in your skin and as it develops it turns this layer of your skin tan. For the best results you need to let your tan develop as instructed. Your tan will slowly and evenly exfoliate as the outer layer of your skin exfoliates. This process is from person to person different and therefore the longevity of your tan.
What to do prior to your Self Tanning Session ...Wax, shave, exfoliate at least 4 hours before your session and make sure you don't have any heavy oils or moisturizers on your skin - a light moisturizer is ok.
What to wear ...dark, loose, cotton base clothing is the best. Generally anything that doesn't cause you to sweat. Self tanning solution can rub off on clothing but it washes out of everything but silk. During your session you can wear the provided disposables our your own undergarments.
What to do or not to do post your Self Tanning Session ...it takes 6 to 10 hours for the selftanner to develop. As earlier you wash it off as less of a result you will have. You can not submerge you body or parts of your body in water during the developing process (no showers, Mani or Pedi's and so on), you can not engage into activities causing you to perspire - sweating out the solution before it has fully developed causes a blotchy result.
